Summer Camp at Hunter

This summer we will have three weeks of camp from July 7 to July 24. Camp hours are from 8:30am-4:00pm. Daily and weekly options are available. The camp is open to all elementary school age children.
The camp gives children a great opportunity to learn and practice chess in a friendly and non-competitive environment. Chess instruction includes lessons & notation, computer lab time, puzzles, supervised games & tournaments. Free play includes arts & crafts, board games, and sports & recreation.
All campers this summer will receive a free one year gold membership to chesskid.com and will have daily access to laptops to learn how to use their accounts.
The facility includes a yard, gymnasium, cafeteria, and air-conditioned classrooms. Cafeteria lunch will be provided, along with snacks in the afternoon. Campers may bring their own lunch if they choose.

This is a brand new program this summer. We will have two weeks from August 4th to August 15th, hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm. The program is open to students from all schools ages 5 – 12. The facility includes a swimming pool, so we will include swimming with our program three days a week.
